On May 11th, 2022, the groundbreaking ceremony of major projects in the second quarter of Yunnan Province and the foundation stone laying ceremony of hydropower silicon circular economy project in Yunnan Hoshine Silicon Industry were held in Zhaoyang District, Zhaotong. Guo Dajin, Secretary of Zhaotong Municipal Party Committee, was congratulated by video, Zhu Jiawei, Deputy Secretary of Zhaotong Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, made a site report, and Mr. Luo Liguo, Chairman of Hersheng Silicon, made a project introduction. Afterwards, the leading teams of Zhaotong Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government and Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference joined Mr. Luo Liguo in laying the groundwork for the project.

Yunnan Hoshine Hydropower Silicon Project covers a total land area of 6,105 mu, and 800,000 tons/year silicone is built to support 800,000 tons/year industrial silicon. The project is divided into two phases. After it is put into operation, the annual gross industrial output value will reach 30 billion yuan and the industrial added value will reach 8 billion yuan, 12,000 people will be employed, and the coordinated development of transportation, service and other related industries will be promoted, so that the poverty-stricken people can find jobs nearby and the local poverty alleviation achievements will be consolidated.

Green development, demonstration and guidance. Hoshine Industry has successively started industrial silicon furnace desulfurization and denitrification pilot projects in Yunnan, Xinjiang and other places. Yunnan Hydroelectric Silicon Project will serve as a national industrial silicon smelting desulfurization and denitrification demonstration project, focusing on the development of industrial silicon and deep processing industrial chain in the lower reaches of silicone, and making efforts to promote the development of downstream industries.

In the future, Hoshine Silicon Industry will continue to lay out the whole industrial chain of green silicon in Zhaotong, Yunnan Province, with the support of industrial clusters, and cooperate with the upstream, middle and downstream enterprises to develop together, so as to realize the strategic pattern of "basing on Yunnan, radiating the whole country and facing the world" and become the leader of the manufacturing highland of green silicon industry in the world.
